NT Woolbeding Gardens
Woolbeding Gardens opened to the public for the first time in 2010. It is a constantly evolving contemporary garden in two distinct parts: a colour garden with formal rooms and a fantasy garden designed by Julian and Isabel Bannerman. Our brief included a new welcome area in an old cow byre, the visitor guide, an accessible garden model of cast concrete, a folder and postcards.
We have helped three National Trust properties tell their stories more clearly and richly. Whether the story revolves around a dynastic family or a beloved landscape, we have given visitors access to those particular narratives which differentiate individual properties.
NT Coughton Court
Home to the Throckmorton family for 600 years, this Tudor house embodies one family’s courage in maintaining their beliefs. From a position of high favour to one of post-Reformation fear and oppression, the Throckmortons were leaders in a dangerous age. Our work in the reception area introduces the principal characters and themes of this drama.
NT Claremont Landscape Garden
Our work introduces the principal characters who commissioned and loved Claremont in discreet narrative interventions on benches, blankets and boats as well as welcome panels, a leaflet and a house style guide. On-going work includes concept design for the refurbishment of the café.
