Household Cavalry Museum
A new museum sits within Horse Guards in Whitehall, in a Grade 1 listed building dating from 1750 by William Kent. This is the headquarters of the Household Division, in which the Household Cavalry has performed the Queen’s Life Guard in a daily ceremony that has remained broadly unchanged for over 350 years. In addition to their ceremonial duties, the Household Cavalry are fully operational regiments – the Blues and Royals. A working stable block is incorporated into the museum. The permanent exhibition was designed by At large, with Lucy or Robert delivering branding and the graphic scheme. Photographs: Philip Vile
