Climbers and Creepers at Kew

A permanent exhibition for young children
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Families with young children have always been attracted by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew but until now there have been no special
facilities to cater for the needs of this core group. The brief called for an exhibition that would capture the imagination of very young children and introduce them to ideas about the interdependence of animals and plants.
The graphic design drew inspiration from Ian Hamilton-Finlay’s garden in Scotland. Giant plant labels aid navigation, and where possible the text is embedded in the 3D elements.
